No doubt about it, wood is in a class of its own when it comes to furniture construction materials. It has an organic look and fits well into most environments.

Popular stain finishes include cherry, espresso and ebony. Another finish is white, which serves to hide visible grain on the wood. If you go for wood computer desks in the lower price ranges, be aware that they often feature only a thin skin of wood.
A wood computer desk is a solid choice, but beware of cheap manufacturing. If in doubt, go for the strength and classic beauty of an oak desk.
